This unassuming plant can kill off many of your irksome problems: Weight gain, Uncontrolled diabetes, Rising cholesterol, Angry, unhealthy skin and Poor immunity.
Allow me to introduce, my favorite cereal; OATS.
This kick-ass cereal contains several B vitamins (B1, B6, Biotin), Magnesium, Zinc and Protein.
Although I might get a bit technical, this is information that can potentially save you from hours of suffering, expensive treatments and needless worry. I have included a simpler explanation titled: In English 😉
1. Weight Trouble
Oats contain long chained carbohydrates which take the body longer to absorb. Thus, resulting in a longer period of satiety.
In English: you stay full longer, so you eat less.
2. Diabetic Diaries
Oats is an age-old secret to combating the dreaded sugar menace. Research has proved that a 2 day diet of oats, cuts insulin requirement by half. In type II Diabetics, the sensitivity of cells to insulin is impaired. Oats improves this, thereby allowing the body to metabolize sugar with lower amounts of insulin.
In English: Oats can bring Type II Diabetes under control
Caution: Check with your doctor before beginning any diet in order to avoid the danger of too low sugar (Hypoglycemia)
3. Cholesterol Worries
A special type of fibre contained in oats- Beta Glucans, binds to bile acids in the intestine, thereby improving metabolism and reducing cholesterol. Its antioxidant, Avenathramide, prevents oxidation of LDL (the bad cholesterol) and keeps it from clogging your arteries.

4. Skin Woes
Oats has an anti-inflammatory and mild exfoliative effect on the skin. It helps to effectively deal with irritated, inflamed skin; as well as the skin complaints of Psoriasis and Neurodermatitis.

Oats formula: make a light mask out of freshly ground oats, almonds and water. Oats and almonds in equal proportion and enough water to make a thin paste. Leave it on until it dries and wash off with lukewarm water.
5. Immune Bosster
The Beta Glucans in Oats, support neutrophilic granulocytes which are our body’s defense cells. People who eat more than 2 servings a day of whole grain products, have a 20% reduced risk of Diabetes, Strokes and Heart attacks.

Healthy Oats Muesli: Oats, chopped apples or blueberries, Chia seeds (high in Omega 3 Fatty acids), either with Oat milk or just lightly cooked in water. I like to add a dash of cinnamon for flavor and other health benefits (I’ll save these for another newsletter).
