Are you thin outside but fat inside?
Did you know there are three types of fat?
Bum fat
or subcautaneous fat lies just under the skin and can go up 10 kgs. This bum fat consumes us because it determines our jean size and is visible on the scale. Funnily enough, it's metabolically inert and therefore not dangerous!
Beer Belly Fat
or abdominal fat surrounds our mid section. It has nothing to do with beer and everything to do with cortisol aka the stress hormone. Stress increases cortisol levels. This fat can increase between 5-7 kgs so it may or may not show on the scale.
The diabolical fat
or liver fat is barely a kilo or two but by far the most dangerous. It blocks the liver from performing it's many functions like detoxification, cholesterol production, etc. Where does this fat come from? Sugar! So, although you most certainly won't notice liver fat on the scale; it is this 1% fat that is causing 99% of your problems.
While you might look thin on the outside, how does your inside look?
