In what order should you eat your food?

Most of us focus our meals around a carbohydrate- rice, chapati, bread etc. Everything else is a side dish. What if I told you with a change in the proportions and the order; you can make a huge difference to your metabolic health?

  1. The proportions: fill half your plate (assuming it’s round) with vegetables- all and any kinds are welcome.

  1. Divide the other half into 2 quarters, one each for protein and carbohydrates

  1. The order: first veggies, then protein and lastly carbs.

Why? This prevents your blood sugars from spiking fast and keeps them more stable. The result? Being full longer, having less cravings and more energy.
